GLP to Unveil New WildBar 8 and Impression FR2 at PLASA 2026
At this year’s PLASA Show in London, GLP will present two new fixtures: the WildBar 8 and Impression FR2. These premieres expand two important product groups of the German manufacturer – linear effect fixtures and professional Fresnel fixtures. The PLASA Show 2026 will take place from September 6th to 8th at Olympia London. At the GLP booth, you can see, among other things, the new WildBar 8 and Impression FR2.
WildBar 8 – A New, Compact Member of the WildBar Family
The GLP WildBar 8 is a shorter version of the renowned WildBar 16. The new fixture is half its length while maintaining the same pixel pitch. This allows WildBar 8 and WildBar 16 to be used together in a single installation, creating coherent and virtually continuous lines of light. This gives designers significantly greater freedom in creating scenography and custom luminaire layouts. The shorter module allows for more precise adjustment of the lighting structure’s length to the stage, truss, or scenographic elements, without sacrificing the visual cohesion of the entire system. WildBar 8 thus expands the concept of the modular family of GLP linear fixtures, which can be combined into larger lighting structures.
impression FR2 – a new generation of compact Fresnel
The second premiere at PLASA 2026 will be the GLP impression FR2. The new fixture offers more than twice the output of the impression FR1 while maintaining a compact design and low weight. The FR2 was designed for television, theater, event, and installation productions, among others, where both high light quality and flexibility of use are essential. The fixture utilizes GLP iQ.Gamut technology, which ensures color consistency between compatible GLP devices. One of the most distinctive features of the impression FR2 is its three rings, each equipped with 32 RGBW LEDs. The rings can operate as independent effects layers, allowing the FR2 to function not only as a classic Fresnel, but also as a device used to create additional visual effects.

The new WildBar 8 and impression FR2 will be on display at the PLASA Show 2026 at the GLP booth E5. Both premieres demonstrate the consistent development of the GLP portfolio – expanding design possibilities while maintaining modularity, inter-device compatibility, and the brand’s signature approach to creating light.
